E Relating to civil commitment; clarifying court ordered early intervention
criteria for certain proposed patients released before commitment; prohibiting
the release of persons committed as sexually dangerous or as sexual psychopathic
personalities, requiring commitment to a secure detention facility, authorizing
commitment to a less restrictive treatment program under certain conditions;
requiring treatment to begin upon admission to a treatment facility without
regard to a review hearing; modifying certain review and hearing procedures for
persons committed as mentally ill and dangerous, authorizing the court with the
agreement of the county attorney and the attorney for the patient to waive the
review hearing and immediately order an indeterminate commitment or to continue
the review hearing; clarifying county financial responsibility for certain costs
relating to the administration of neuroleptic medications (mk, ja)
