3E Modifying certain mortuary science provisions; defining and modifying the
definitions of certain terms; modifying certain commissioner of health duties;
providing for nonlicensed individuals to arrange for and direct or supervise
memorial services under certain conditions; modifying educational and continuing
education requirements; providing for the payment of renewal fees and
authorizing reinstatement for emeritus registration; modifying requirements for
funeral establishments; modifying change in ownership provisions; providing for
initial licensure and inspection fees for crematories, providing for renewal and
reinspection fees; modifying provisions relating to clinical and practicum
students; authorizing a licensed person to be assisted by a nonlicensed
person
for body removal from the place of death and lifting the body at the
funeral establishment; modifying unprofessional conduct, disclosure of change of
ownership and preventive requirements provisions; requiring certain disclosures
for purchase of caskets for cremation purchase; prohibiting an embalming fee
upon family selection of no embalming; modifying procedures relating to coroner
or medical examiner referrals; providing for certificate of removal; making
certain technical corrections; providing for retention of certificate of
removal; providing for the transporting of dead human bodies by unlicensed
personnel; limiting body refrigeration; modifying acceptance of delivery of body
by requiring a sheet or pouch wrap and body placement on a rigid tray; repealing
certain provisions relating to an embalming requirement and cremation exceptions
for final disposition of dead bodies
