1E Relating to workers compensation; modifying the compensation schedule, the
rehabilitation review panel and medical services review board memberships;
allowing rehabilitation review panel and medical services review board
electronic meetings under certain conditions; exempting employers and insurers
from employee notification of certain reduced payment charges; requiring medical
bills to be submitted in a standard electronic transaction format; requiring
self-insured employers and insurers to retain certain data; prohibiting
physician examination of injured employees in hotels or motels; prohibiting
employer or insurer offset on benefit overpayments upon penalty awarded to
employees for late payment or underpayment; allowing social security number data
sharing; expanding uninsured and self-insured employer penalties to include
employee expenses and attorney fees; modifying records from other state agencies
treatment; clarifying the time limitation requirement for department of labor
and industry notification of employee fatality or certain hospitalization;
specifying a time limit for hearing on petitions; modifying testimonial subpoena
prohibition of the rehabilitation review panel and medical services board to
include dispute certification or decline of dispute certification; repealing the
workers compensation continuing education for judges
