     11A.03 State board; membership; organization. 


    Pursuant to article XI, section 8, of the Constitution of 
 the state of Minnesota, the state board shall be composed of the 
 governor, state auditor, state treasurer, secretary of state and 
 attorney general.  The governor shall serve as ex officio chair 
 of the state board.

*   NOTE:  If the constitutional amendment proposed under Laws 
*1998, chapter 387, article 1, is adopted, this section, as 
*amended by Laws 1998, chapter 387, article 2, section 3, will 
*read as follows, effective the first Monday in January 2003: 


*   "Pursuant to article XI, section 8, of the Constitution of 
*the state of Minnesota, the state board shall be composed of the 
*governor, state auditor, secretary of state, and attorney 
*general.  The governor shall serve as ex officio chair of the 
*state board."
