     144E.286 Examiner qualifications for emergency medical 
  technician testing. 


    Subdivision 1.    EMT testing.  An examiner testing 
 basic level EMT practical skills must: 


    (1) be certified as an EMT, EMT-I, or EMT-P; 


    (2) have two years or 4,000 hours' experience in emergency 
 medical care; 


    (3) be certified in basic cardiac life support; and 


    (4) be approved by the board. 


    Subd. 2.    EMT-I or EMT-P testing.  (a) An examiner 
 testing EMT-I or EMT-P level practical skills must be approved 
 by the board and: 


    (1) be a physician or registered nurse; or 


    (2) be a certified EMT-P, have two years or 4,000 hours' 
 experience in emergency medical care and be certified in basic 
 cardiac life support. 


    (b) A physician must be available to answer questions 
 relating to the evaluation of skill performance at the practical 
 examination.
